Sindh Expands Health and Development Network to Empower Communities

Sindh’s Health and Development Network Expands: A New Era of Public Service

A Province-Wide Push for Better Healthcare and Infrastructure In a major step toward inclusive development, the Sindh government has launched a sweeping expansion of its health and infrastructure network. Led by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, the initiative aims to improve access to medical care, education, housing, and sustainable energy across every district in the province.

Free Heart Treatments Now Available Across Sindh One of the most impactful upgrades is the expansion of the NICVD (National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases) network. Residents can now receive free heart treatments, including advanced procedures like CyberKnife therapy—a non-invasive option for treating tumors and vascular conditions.

Upgraded Hospitals Deliver World-Class Care Major hospitals such as Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and the National Institute of Child Health (NICH) have undergone significant upgrades. These facilities now offer enhanced services, modern equipment, and improved patient care standards, bringing global-level healthcare to local communities.

Education and Transport Get a Boost The development plan also includes the expansion of schools, colleges, and universities, ensuring better access to quality education. Public transport is being modernized with the introduction of the People’s Bus, Pink Bus for women, and electric buses—making daily commutes safer and more sustainable.

Sustainable Housing and Energy Projects Under the Sindh Peoples Housing Foundation, 2.1 million homes are being constructed for families affected by floods. In addition, over 200,000 families have received solar systems, promoting clean energy and reducing dependence on traditional power sources.

Transparency and Public Interest at the Core Minister Memon emphasized that all projects are being implemented with transparency and a strong focus on public welfare. At the same meeting, PPP MNA Sharmila Farooqi highlighted the importance of unity and respectful communication among party members, reinforcing the collaborative spirit behind these initiatives.

A Model for Inclusive Growth Sindh’s expanded health and development network is more than a series of projects—it’s a vision for equitable progress. By investing in healthcare, education, housing, and clean energy, the provincial government is laying the foundation for a healthier, more resilient future for its citizens.
