Quetta’s Bolan Medical Complex Solarised to Power Healthcare and Cut Costs

This initiative is set to revolutionize healthcare delivery in the region by ensuring uninterrupted electricity and drastically reducing operational costs.
Massive Savings and Environmental Impact The solarisation project is projected to save the hospital approximately Rs 70 million annually. It will also cut carbon emissions by 468 tonnes each year and generate around 1.16 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity—enough to meet the hospital’s entire energy needs.
Expanding Solar Access Across Balochistan This isn’t an isolated effort. The initiative has already extended to three public hospitals across Balochistan, ensuring consistent power supply and improving patient outcomes. With reliable electricity, medical services can operate without disruption, especially critical in emergency and surgical departments.
