Federal Minister for National Health Services, Mustafa Kamal, has called on the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and the pharmaceutical industry to develop a unified strategy that supports indigenous vaccine manufacturing.

Reducing Dependence on Imports Speaking to the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA), Kamal emphasized that local vaccine production is essential for reducing reliance on expensive imports. “The government is determined to promote local vaccine production, which will not only bolster public health security but also enhance our capacity to respond effectively to future health challenges,” Kamal stated.
