Pakistan’s pharmaceutical industry is experiencing a historic boom, as showcased at the RCCI Med-Health Expo and Summit 2025 held at the Pak-China Friendship Center in Islamabad. The event drew government officials, foreign diplomats, and industry leaders to celebrate the sector’s transformation into a global contender.
Record-Breaking Export Growth
According to the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (PPMA), pharma exports surged 34% in FY25, reaching USD 457 million, the highest growth in two decades. Broader therapeutic exports—including medical devices and supplements—hit USD 909 million, just shy of the billion-dollar mark.
