Farah Deeba, the Coordinator for Culture and National Heritage to the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, expressed her deep appreciation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar for introducing the Prime Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme for journalists and media workers.

Farah Deeba warmly welcomed the launch of the Journalist Health Insurance Policy by the Prime Minister and the Federal Minister. She noted that the policy is a positive step by the government, offering comprehensive healthcare coverage to working journalists and media workers. The scheme grants access to free medical services at over 1,000 hospitals across the country, with treatment worth up to Rs. 1 million available. Furthermore, provisions have been made for the treatment of serious diseases under the policy.
She highlighted the vital role media workers play in delivering accurate and reliable information to the public, asserting that their contributions must not go unnoticed. This scheme, she said, is a historic and positive move towards improving the well-being of the media industry, ensuring that journalists and their families have access to essential healthcare services, including hospitalization and treatment for various illnesses.
